I, personally, believe that it is the sense of achievement one gets from Minecraft, as there is in any other game. It seems to be built upon this wonderful theme, though. You will dig for much time, and eventually find diamond. You feel like you have achieved a goal. You build, you achieve. You kill, you achieve.
But, what confuses me, is that many other games have this same theme, but none have ever grown as rapidly as Minecraft. I am searching for this missing element, and I invite you to join my expedition.

I do agree with the point that it is a sense of achievement. I also think it is the old school graphics which make people such as myself enjoy playing minecraft

Addictive without being competitive, thats what I liked. Having something you've done and feel proud of is rather good :y:
