'First Strike', the Black Ops map pack that was purchased 1.4 million times within 24 hours of its exclusive Xbox release, will soon come to PS3 and PC.

Activision has now confirmed that this DLC will come to PS3 on March 3, and sometime before March 31 for PC. This is all part of the Microsoft, Activision deal from last year that says all addons and map packs will launch first on Xbox 360 for the next 3 years (2 years now).

To me this is a clever marketing scheme on Microsofts behalf to get more people to buy Xbox's. Since the fan base for CoD is so big, they know how badly people will want it. My question to you is, would this eventually drive you to buy an Xbox? Think about it, for THREE years your going to have to wait a month for new DLC's.

I know a few people are going to disagree with me, but this seems like an underhanded move on M$'s part. "Well, people aren't buying our consoles because they're made with cheap parts and destroy their games when you move the console. I know, how about we buy our way into exclusivity to force the spoiled, impatient PS3 kids to have their parents buy our consoles!?"

The only people that are going to fall prey to Microsoft's tactic are the impatient 11 year olds who can persuade their parents to buy them a console.

I don't mind waiting, in fact, I'm not even going online with my PS3 until there is a way to update without allowing a rootkit only my PS3. I don't have anything that would get me in trouble, but I have my rights, I will not surrender them!

Just because Microsoft gets their shit first, doesnt mean i would want to switch to xbox just to get the same stuff, earlier. PS3 for life. Simple map packs wont change a damn thought of what console i play on.

well, its only 10 more months anyways. Besides, ill let the 360 users buy it first so i can see if they are worth it or not

It's always been known the DLC will come to PS3, just no date was confirmed till now. In your article you assumed it would come March 1st.

I'm sorry to say but when I first started to play the "Cod" series and that was back with Cod4 and W@W and maybe even Cod3 etc... You get the point. But I'm not sure if it effects you guy's but there is something wrong with Black Ops. On all the other Cod's I use to play it kind of had a push that wanted you to play more. Black Op's to me has a feeling of a shit game like a been there done that kind of game. But now its just like what did they do. I am so sad I have to wait till Mw3 comes out this November. I use to love playing the Cod's.. But now it seems they are not the same and every other match you join is modded. God bless the old days is all I got to say. :y:
