(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys. I would say I am a bit experienced with Minecraft mods and will tell you how to download MOST of them (With the help of You must login or register to view this content.)

NOTE: If the mod came with certain download instructions, follow those instead.

Requirements: WinRAR, WinZIP, or 7zip. (You only need one not all of them.)
WinRAR: You must login or register to view this content.
WinZIP: You must login or register to view this content.
7zip: You must login or register to view this content.
Link to lots of mods: You must login or register to view this content.

Windows tutorial

1. Make sure Mincraft is not open or running.

2. Go to the start menu, then search for "run" and open it.

3. In run, type in %appdata%

4. Open the .minecraft folder, then open the bin folder.

5. Now open minecraft.jar with WinRAR, WinZIP, or 7zip

6. Drag the .class files from the mod into minecraft.jar

7. Delete the META-INF folder. (Yes, the whole thing.)

8. Close minecraft.jar

9. Now open Minecraft, and your mod should be working succesfully!

Mac Tutorial(Thanks to You must login or register to view this content.)

1. Make sure Minecraft is not open or running.

2. Go to finder, then /users/your username/library/application support/Minecraft/Bin

3. Open minecraft.jar with archive utility. A folder called minecraft should be created inside /bin

4. Drag the .class files etc. from the mod into the minecraft folder.

5. Delete the folder called META-INF inside the minecraft folder

6. Rename minecraft.jar to something else then rename the minecraft folder to minecraft.jar

Now if your mod did not work this is probably why.

1. You did not follow instructions correctly.

2. You did not delete the META-INF folder

3. The mod is not compatible with another mod you may have.

4. The mod may require something to function. (You must login or register to view this content., You must login or register to view this content., You must login or register to view this content., etc.)

5. The mod is not compatible with your version of Minecraft. (Alpha 1.2.6, Beta 1.2, etc.)

6. The mod itself may not be working.

7. (Mac)You did not change the name of minecraft.jar to something else.(Mac)

If your mod still does not work, PM me or post on this thread and I should be able to help you.

You might want to add AudioMod, Spawnlist, and an explanation for Mac users could be helpful for some people.

Never thought of that. I shall do that.

Edit: It seems that now when installing mods, mac users get a black screen. For now I have changed the name to make this thread for Windows, but if there is a solution to the problem I shall update the thread.
