Hello and welcome to this minecraft mega thread =D

I'll add new mods whenever a new one comes out, if there's a mod you want me to add please quote me or PM me I'll add it.

Right now I'm going to add what the mod is about and how to install it, Tomorrow or on sunday I'll make a folder with all of the mods so you only have to download one file. I'll also add what I think about the mod.

Crash is fixed with the patch available in the Downloads section, also if you have Turtles installed, Charlotte will not attack them anymore.

Allow me to introduce you to your sister/girlfriend/significant other. Her name is Charlotte, and you may not know it yet, but she is one of the most loyal companions you could ever have. Why "Charlotte"? - because the default character texture is char.png, and "char" + "lotte" is a girl's name. And there you have it. But of course, there's one big question: What does she do?



Charlotte is a human companion that spawns almost immediately upon entering a world. She can be in a new world, or an existing world. You can only find one of her at once, and she will spawn right next to you. After that, you become her companion, and she will follow you around wherever you go. If you get too far ahead, she'll call out for you to "wait up", possibly requiring you to get her out of a jam, or even just because she got distracted. No matter where you're going, however, Charlotte will be a big help along the way.



Charlotte can pick up items like the player, and can even hold full stacks of items. If you give her a sword, her attack gets stronger, and if you give her an item of food, she'll eat it if she's low enough on HP. If you want to take back something you've given her or something that she picked up by herself, just right-click her. You can get her to collect extra blocks for you if your inventory is full, but it's better to let her hold a sword just because she is so well adapted to fighting. [hint: press q to drop items for her]



Unlike the rest of the game's mobs, Charlotte's attack range is just about as large as the player, meaning she can hit enemies up to 3.5 blocks away, with a bit of a random margin. She isn't flawless however, and still gets hit every so often. She also steps back a tiny bit after each strike, mimicing the dodging skills of an advanced player. You'll often find her finishing your fights for you without much effort, and she is glad to help. She even yells out a warning if she detects a hostile mob in the area, so you can always be prepared for a fight.



After the fighting's done though, Charlotte might need a bit of medical attention. That's where the magic hands come into play. To heal Charlotte, just left-click her with any item you have. She will heal 1 half-heart at a time up to the maximum 20, and flash green to show that she is healing. And guess what? Charlotte heals you too. She will automatically run over to you if you are hurt and start to heal your hearts as well, all the way up to the max. As long as you two can hold out in fights, the only thing you need to survive is each other.



However, as you can gather, Charlotte still needs your help to survive in a world full of monsters. If she dies, you'll know it. And once she does, she never comes back. It's as simple as that. You only get one Charlotte, so if you start to take a liking to her, you had better be careful. Even more upsetting is that when you die, she won't recognise you if you respawn. She'll just wander around and cry, not realizing that the zombie in front of her was once her trusted companion. You can fight her if you want, but be careful because her fighting skills are top-notch no matter what mood she is in.



Oh, and I forgot to mention that she can also ride in a vehicle alongside you. She will get into the vehicle if you sit in another vehicle of the exact same type. She has a bit of trouble steering boats, but not too much. To make her exit a vehicle, just right-click her. She will mount anything that the player is riding, as long as it is the exact same, Though this will cause problems with mounts that are only designed for players (Mo' Creatures Horses).

Version 2 Changes:

Piggyback Riding! One of the biggest problems of the past was charlotte's crashing while she rides horses and walking wherever she wanted when in atack mode. Now, you can keep better control over her by carrying her on your shoulders. Simply right-click her when she has nothing in her inventory and she will happily sit on your shoulders flailing around her arms in excitement. Using this method, she can ride on your shoulders while you ride another vehicle, you just have to right-click her after you mount it. The downside is that you won't be able to hit anything besides charlotte while she's on your shoulders, since her legs get in the way (though you might be able to hit an enemy or two if you try a lot).



Also, while Charlotte can be told to avoid getting targets if she is holding an item of food, she can now be told to stand completely still if she holds a flower. She will stand still unless something targets her, in which case she will defend herself. Since you can't give her both a flower and food at the same time, Charlotte can't simply be turned into a brain-dead statue, not like you would ever want her to be like that... I hope.

Abilities:
Follows the player everywhere
Will attack enemies that target her or the player
Can pick up and use items or stacks of items
Heals the player at close range
Can be healed by the player
Warns about incoming enemies
Enhanced fighting skills and range
Can ride in vehicles alongside the player
Lots of different vocal event cues*
NEW IN V2:
Charlotte can now ride on the player's shoulders
Also will dismount the player if damage is taken from a null source (ceilings, etc)
Charlotte will stand still if she holds a flower
Bugs involving tight passages and doorways have probably been fixed
Charlotte follows the player much more closely now
Pathfinding has been greatly improved
Riding bugged mounts is possible if Charlotte rides on your shoulders
Duping glitches have probaby been fixed
If Brain Slimes are installed, Charlotte will not attack tiny ones
Duped Charlottes do not attack each other anymore (but are less likely to happen anyway)
Crash bug fixed and does not attack turtles anymore if you have them installed

Issues/Missing Features:
If you are using the Humans+ mod, all humans capable of fighting will target Charlotte because she is not a player. There's no real easy fix for this.
In Quintessential Creatures, Charlotte will attack the tortoise when it follows the player unless she is holding some food.
In Mo' Creatures, Charlotte sometimes attacks bears for no reason.

Instructions:
You must first install Risugami's Mod Loader and Audio Mod, AND 303's spawnlist API (if you don't already have DrZhark's Mo' Creatures or the Humans+ Mod) before this mod will work.
If you don't install the Mod Loader, it won't work at all, and if you don't install the audio mod, the custom audio will not play.
If you are using a Mac computer, search for a special Mac installation tutorial if you have problems installing the mod.
The instuctions for installing the mod are within the download zip.

Compatibility:
This mod SHOULD work with almost any other mod. Works with Mo' Creatures 100%, and reported to work well with Humans+. The spawnlist API is only necessary to download if you do not have a mod that comes with it. Charlotte has habit of sometimes killing things that are peaceful in other mods, so be warned.

303's Spawnlist Utility Library -This is needed as well.
Female Companion Mod V2 - for Beta 1.1_02
MANDATORY Patch for V2 - You MUST also install this class file after you install the rest of the mod. This fixes the crash bug and also stops Charlotte from attacking Turtles if you have them installed.

Secret Tips and Advice:
If Charlotte dies, or you die, and you really, really want her back, go into your world save folder and delete the "charlotte" file. this will allow an additional Charlotte to spawn*.
Charlotte follows the player loosely, but if you continuously jump while walking, she will keep closer to you and be less likely to wander.
If someone makes me a good 16x16 png of a boquet of flowers, I might possibly make a way to regain her trust after you die, and likewise, maybe a way to revive her somehow as well...
Also multiple people have requested a male version but I won't make it unless someone else is able to find me a bank of appropriate male sounds.

Overview
The mod gives you an opportunity to create and manage your own colony in Minecraft.
First off you will need to build a warehouse, where the goods will be stored and transported to. The resources are necessary to build another constructions, such as:
- lumberjack's hut
- miner
- delivery man
- farmer
- fisherman's hut
- blacksmith
- etc.
New buildings will be automatically connected to a warehouse with road, which will be used by delivery man to transport goods.

General Features
4 proffesions (lumberjack, miner and delivery man, farmer)
different level of tools impacts the efficiency of work
when the tool wears out, worker searches his chest for the kind of tool he uses (don't forget to supply lumberjack with axes and miner with pickaxe and shovel!!!)
you can change worker's current tool by dropping it next to him
you cannot place a working chest of one kind within another's working range
the working range of a chest is about 20 tiles radius around it
you can build predefined working building by right clicking on a chest with a golden scepter
you can build fence around a building by right clicking on a chest with an iron scepter
workers doesn't work during night
workers tells you why they're not working by placing signs with 'Out of axes', 'Sleeping' etc. captions
there are more, but I don't remember Winky Winky

Common Problems
This is gonna be a new section, I'll put it somewhere at some point.

Problem: When you play online you see the gun recipes but can't take the result out of the crafting window.
Explanation: The server is not modded.
Solution: Install the server side mod on the server. If you already have, you did it wrong.

Problem: The placed grappling hook and oil are invisible.
Explanation: You installed an incompatible mod.
Solution: None. (Besides removing the incompatible mod.)

Problem: You get a packet error with the number 200.
Explanation: The client is not modded.
Solution: Install the client side mod on the client. If you already have, you did it wrong.

General Information
Single Player
Check the mod_*.properties files, they have lots of configurable options.
Default key to zoom is 'Z', use parachute us 'P', enable nightvision is 'N'.
Nightvision goggles are worn on the head, scuba tanks and parachutes are worn on the chest.
Parachutes can be right clicked or used with the hotkey if you're wearing it.
The lighter block lights on fire when power is applied to it.
Right click the cannon block with TNT to fill it up, max 15. Power it with redstone to fire.
The grinder block is fueled by diamonds for 64 uses each. It grinds flint (100% chance) and gravel (25% chance) into gunpowder.
Hardcore mode increases the maximum number of mobs.
Multiplayer
The server and all the clients need the mods for it to work.
Probably won't work with any custom server software.
Player and weapon spawners are the only things that can destroy player and weapon spawners. In deathmatch mode they're the only thing that can destroy any blocks (except for glass). They've been changed since the video was made and now work like normal tools, by holding left click. Not working right now, you'll need to use a map editor to remove them.
Right clicking a weapon spawner with a weapon spawner in your hand changes the item that's spawned.

Lightometer isn't working.
Turning on sentriesKillAnimals will crash your minecraft when they try to target an animal.
Laser-guided rocket sentry has a small aiming glitch
Oil texture is messed up for straight lines.
HD textures won't show ammo bar or lightometer correctly.
Sometimes textures disappear. Some people have said re-copying the textures into the jar fixed this.
Problem destroying spawners, you'll have to use MCedit or another map editor.
The cannon likes firing in some directions better than others, dunno if that's natural or a bug. Seems more pronounced than the normal firing-west bonus.
Making oil duplicates the bucket
Multiplayer
Must restart minecraft after playing online to get your mod settings back.
Grappling hook works, but you can't see it in flight, so it's very hard to aim.
Parachute texture is very wrong.
Flamethrower flame starts off sideways/backwards.
Server doesn't add inaccuracy for recoil yet.

I think you're supposed to delete the files inside META-INF instead of the folder, not entirely sure though.

Delete the "version" file (in %appdata%\.minecraft\bin) [This cleans your jar]
Run minecraft to redownload a fresh jar
Back up your saves and bin folders.
Delete the META-INF folder in minecraft.jar (in %appdata%\.minecraft\bin)
Copy everything inside the minecraft folder (in the zip file) into minecraft.jar (in %appdata%\.minecraft\bin)
Copy everything inside the resources folder (in the zip file) into the resources folder (in %appdata%\.minecraft)
Ignore patch.properties, it's just for TFC's Mod Manager
If there's a mod_*.properties file in the zip, copy it into the bin folder (%appdata%\.minecraft\bin)

Take all of the files that should go into minecraft.jar and instead put them into a folder
If you get any overwrite file warnings, the mods will not work together

Any mods that use specialized block rendering won't work perfectly with mine. If you overwrite mine, the oil, grappling hook and rope blocks will be invisible. Corosus' mods work with mine as long as you install his last. This means when you update you have to reapply his mods.

Delay is in 20th's of a second. Rockets do 5 damage on direct hit plus explosion damage. Rocket speed is ~1 because it starts at 0.75 and accelerates to 1.25. Flamethrowers do 1 damage plus light the target on fire. The sniper rifle has no spread when fully zoomed in, 8 if you're not. *The Gatling gun is much less accurate and has a lot of recoil unless you're sneaking and stationary.

All the similar guns (AK47, MP5, Desert Eagle) were given speeds relative to their damage, without taking into account velocity or spread. This means AK47 is better overall than the other two.

Theres so many but you should also add Mo creatures and ultimate fist! and many others.....! but i dont think we can post another website forum O__O its the main minecraft forum though they have a modding place :mudkip:
