And by the other SOCOM games I'm talking SOCOM 2 and SOCOM 1, specifically SOCOM 2, as that is still, in my mind, not beaten by any shooter out there. That game was so much fun, the maps were so huge, but could be easily reduced.

So, do you think SOCOM will keep whatever it was that made it so special? I remember being able to play that game for hours, there were no unlocks or anything, everyone had the same guns, but it was so much fun, and it never lost its appeal to me. Something about a third person shooter is special, MW2 couldn't replicate it in their 3rd person mode, SOCOM was just AMAZING, which is why I still consider SOCOM 2 to be the best game for online shooters I've ever played, so do you think SOCOM 4 will be able to live up to the monumental precedents set by SOCOM 2? I really hope so, SOCOM was the game that got me into online gaming, and to see this game flop would be a real dissapointment. So for those of you who have played SOCOM in its glory days (I don't know how good Confrontation was, I never bought that one) how are you feeling about SOCOM 4?

Have you ever played SOCOM 1 or 2? They were some of the greatest online games ever, still to this date nothing has topped them in my mind, and from what I heard, MAG sucked.

The beta is not out yet, so how can people say SOCOM 4 is not good? I personally cannot wait for the release, I LOVE the SOCOM franchise, and will be getting this on the third day it is out (as I will be gone until the night of the 20th, so I will have to get it on the 21st.)

Wow, there's no pistols in SOCOM 4? That is something that is a shame. I may not be getting this the day of release. I will have to wait until I play the Beta to see how that works out.
