It was probably the online version

It depends. It may have been classic mode, where you have unlimited anyway. However you can only find this mode in browser. If it was Minecraft Beta, then it will of been a cheat/mod (basically the same thing), such as possibly Invedit

For classic mode you either join someones server or make your own by buying from a host.

You go into minecraft.net, and on the right it says classic mode

Just go onto Multiplayer and select a server

I'll just play normally, and just use InvEdit It's the best. Thanks though for all the help.

Minecraft Beta, use INVEdit, set ammount of items to 255.
