It's true, and as of now, Minecraft has accumulated around $33 million dollars. Over 800,000 alpha version users contributed by picking this game up which cost $14.26 (€9.95). Also, over a million beta version sales were made at $21.43 (€14.95) a piece. According to the Minecraft stats page, 1,813,527 customers are adding to the revenue, which is now estimated to be slightly over $33 million (€23 million). The numbers come from the creator of minecraft himself, Markus Persson or 'Notch.'

Just goes to show that if you make a fun, addicting game with good gameplay and the ability to do what you want in an open world. Graphics don't mean shit, I can think of 10+ games that have way better graphics but I'd still pick minecraft over them.

You've just proven my point, its not about the graphics as long as the game is good. I can't believe its turned that much over though.

It's not about the quality of the graphics, just the fact you can make your own graphics
