There's a few you can use Teamspeak 3,Mumble and i think theres a couple more

basically you need to buy a server thing i think but me and my friends just use to look for an empty one but why dont you want to use skype ?

Ventrilo is pretty good, but you need a ventrilo server for it and its push-to-talk instead if open mic.

Yeah skype is probably the best option all the others aren't that good if its just you and your friends

I would just stick to Skype mate, its really easy to use and its like MSN these days most people have it :y:
