For the many that were skeptical about having the credits cards linked to their PSN actually being used, I've got some bad news for you. Recently, a PSN user stated that $12,500 had been taken out of his credit card which, ironically, was the same card linked to his PS3. The user by the alias of Progmetal said, "I’ve just noticed a transaction on my Credit Card I use for PSN for the amount of $12,500. Called as soon as I could and closed my card. Hmmmmm, sceptic.." He's also got a picture of his bank account showing us proof of the transaction.

The currency was in Norwegian Kroner's. The transaction called for 74,720 Norwegian Kroner’s, which equals $12,500. Also, after the money was taken, the overall balance of the account had dropped to zero, as shown in the provided image. So, has this happened to any of you? Luckily, I've been safe. I assumed that this wasn't going to happen and simply overlooked it. Well, now it seems as if that it is and was possible to have our hard earned money stolen by a bunch of illicit hackers.

even with card number encryption, that means nothing, if people can hack a WHOLE network filled with 77 mill accounts, im sure they can decrypt a card, then go online and get security codes and find latest transactions. it could be true, it could be false. either way, DAMMMMMN

What's really odd, is Sony has yet to say anything to verify this has even happened. Last report, they stated there had been no known instances.

This guy who had "$12,500 stolen" from him is a liar.

No one got any credit card info.

well, sony is trying to think smart about it, if this DID happen, they dont want it exposed more than it has to be, they are already losing billions, AND..the last thing they need is people to have a worse view of their network. sony wont acknowledge this publicly, at least i wouldnt. but sony should pay that bill if its legitimately ben stolen from sonys servers. plus, it takes time to contact people, do a proper investigation on it, and see how truthful this matter is before pursuing financial reimbursement or public media. i personally think its a scam tactic, but then again...i dont have all the facts and its just my opinion

I am Norwegian and i have a similar billing system as showing. But when it's written as hidden or "reserved" it could be anything from a personal transfer to a very expensive hooker. :p

can be an attempt to earn some money out of the situation or he was just very unlucky.

I simply either buy a card or use the credit card then take it out.
