So I put on the server and it works perfectly, he can join, I can join, no flaws at all, except it is extremely laggy most of the time (due to my low amount of ram).
So I ask him to make it since his computer is like 6x better than mine lol. I make the server on his computer the same way I did on mine but, when I try to connect to his server, I cannot find out the IP.
Usually the IP is the default gateway IP (we used that one so he can connect to mine and it works, it says in the minecraft server config that he can join fine or if his connection is refused, etc.) So when I use the default gateway IP, it says "connection refused", but in the minecraft server log, it does not say anything about me having problems connecting which I guess it means I am using the wrong IP...
Any solutions? I tried using all the IP's in the cmd prompt on windows.
Thanks if you need any more info just quote
Well your ip is different then his. You have to use his local. Go to run>type cmd> ipconfig then it should say his ip above the default gateway.
