youre gonna choose a location wherever you want to save it

now when it finishes creating your world
we're gonna type in
STOP
this will now close the server
now we will need to open the file called

BUT THERES MORE
in order for your friends to be able to join theres a few other steps
so what we need:
your ip address

whatever that number is, will be the number you give out to your friends in order for them to join
BUT FIRST
you must forward your ports
this is where most people have trouble
you will need to open up your cmd
open up your start menu and type in cmd
once its opened, type

youre interested in your
ipv4
and your

now open up your browser

THIS NEXT PART VARIES DEPENDING ON YOUR ROUTER
but basically, you need to find your firewall settings. it may be called firewall or ports, or gaming section

i cant walk you through this step by step since its not the same on every modem
basically you need to make your computer host this server
so if it asks you what computer you want to host, select your computer: You must login or register to view this content.
if it asks you for your ip, type in the ipv4 that we got earlier
somewhere it will ask you for your Protocol you want to setup and the port numbers
the protocol isnt that important, just set it up to either BOTH or TCP
the port number is IMPORTANT, type in 25565 You must login or register to view this content.
(this is the only difficult part since it is different in all modems. i can help you if you have a 2-wire)
now that you got that setup
we're done, to test it,
run the minecraft server
then run minecraft
