I'm not a Battlefield fan, but have been blown away by the trailers and clips I've seen, so have decided I'm going to buy it, despite it being out only 4 days before the Modern Warfare 3, and there is a high chance after the 8th of November Battlefield will deservedly return to its case, not to come out again.

I like the realism and graphics of Battlefield, with it being more interactive (apparently) than any of its predecessors or rival games.

I have got a Gaming PC, however I can not be bothered with adjusting to a mouse and keys gameplay, so my main decision is between PS3/XBOX.

I've decided for MW3 however, that as it's the game of the year I'll get it on both, but as I said I'm not a Battlefield fan, so will not be forking out for 2 copies. Which do you guys suggest getting BF3 on?

XBOX: I assume it has more players, and the servers will be more appealing - this is looking the most likely platform.

PS3: Somehow seems the more professional console, and BF3 will be seen as a serious battle rather than a living room messabout game.

What are your suggestions?

PS3 could have better graphics (no joke). I only have a PS3 and a PC but i prefer the PS3 because the vibrant controller makes me feel more at the battle than a Keyboard/mouse.

If you have a gaming PC, that would definately be the best. You could use a gaming controller, but you would get crushed against the mouse and keyboard. IDK why you wouldn't want it on PC, as it is the best looking game ever and is meant for PC. Basically Xbox and PS3 will be the same, maybe some minor differences. It could go either way with the two and if it were a couple years ago the 360 would be the better choice, but looks like most developers, except IW and 3arc and their lazy asses, are started to max out most of their time on the PS3 now. But only pick that you want, because it is your choice. IMO pick PC or the one that most of your friends will have to game. I will get it for PS3 because I am making all of my friends get it, and I prefer the PS3 over 360.

That's a really poor argument for the PS3, if that's the best you can do then you're probably better off on the 360 & XBL. Oh and in XBL's favour, more people will have mics which is paramount for teamwork Ooh and you can add me and we can squad up :p hehe



It's common sense the graphics differences will be minuscule, like on all multi-platform games. Why? Because the game is being primarily developed for the PC so that will be ported to the PS3 & 360, neither will get special treatment. In regards to your BS-ing the word "fanboy" comes to mind...



I would agree, however there are multiple disadvantages to PC gaming to the extent that it's only worth picking over a console if you have a very high-end PC which I doubt the OP does.

PC > PS3 > Your Mom > Xbox360

ps3 and there's not much difference in the amount of players online now
