There has been a lot of speculation over the rumor that Nintendo's next generation system will include a touch screen in the controller. Well now all speculation can be set aside. Nintendo has CONFIRMED that the next generation system will in fact include a 6 inch touchscreen right in the remote.
The controller will also feature the ability to be used as a portable console, allowing you to transfer games to it and play them on the go.
Along with the confirmation of the touchscreen by Nintendo, it is also reported, by Nikkei that the controller will include a camera that will allow players to capture and import photo's to be used in character creation. While the feature of the camera seems likely, it is not yet confirmed
With Nintendo's E3 press conference coming this Tuesday, it is likely that we will see the official report of the next generation controller and all features included.
Below is a concept picture of what the controller may look like:
>mfw buying a new controller will cost as much as buying an Xbox or PS3. :wtf:
And that a good chunk of the games won't require it so you'll either have to buy 2 controllers (1 with and 1 without) Or play games with a big ass screen in-between your hands
I don't think Ill get that in a hurry-doesn't look good. Looks massive and why does it need a camera? It's a controller!
Also, I bet it'll need calibrating or something and without 67 calibrations a day-it ****s up.. Here is a storyline;
Jimmy is playing Mario Bro's and is about to finish the last level of the game! Yay! He finished!
"Lets save it with my awesome new touchscreen!"
*Presses delete by accident*
"Oh no, only if I had calibrated my touchscreen controller+camera+photo storage!"
This just isnt going to work for Nintendo, It;s going to need calibrating a hell of a lot and probably when its been used and covered in fingerprints will be shit at responding.
