Many of you who tuned into E3 saw and heard the epic display of what is said to be the next Battlefield. For those of you who did not, you will be pleased to know that the next game in the series, Battlefield 3, is set to arrive for the 360, PS3, and PC on October 25th, 2011. Not only this, DICE claims to release a live beta which will begin on September 11th. Though just announced at the conference, many are buzzing with anticipation as Battlefield has undoubtedly made a name for itself.

Shown during the EA conference was the new acclaimed Frostbite engine 2, developed by DICE. Noted by many is the extreme realism and improvements which will be featured in this years game. The main four notable changes claimed by EA within this engine were animation, destruction, scale, and audio. Putting things into quick summary of what has been speculated:

The demo included intensely chaotic tank battles, and air strike sequences wherein the player physically moves from their tank perspective to a satellite monitor in order to target and destroy an enemy compound. Other highlights include BF3's extremely large maps, large scale battles and extremely pretty scenes of mass destruction.

The video below is a sneak peak of only some what Battlefield 3 has to offer:

As only a mere announcement, there will be much more information as we slowly approach the date nearing the game release. Details will also be revealed surrounding the beta and exactly how DICE will recruit participants. Nevertheless, it seems Battlefield 3 will give Modern Warfare 3 a run for it’s money.

Bf3 is going to be sick, pity the amount of COD fanboys out there that don't realise that each COD get worse and worse yet continue to stick to it...

Each COD games gets worse?? Pretty sure mw2 was better than WaW, mw3 will be better than black ops.
And me (cod fanboy) prefers playing cod online because it's simple, easy to play, fast paced and fun

Battlefield I find I dislike the people who just sit in vehicles everytime they spawn. I played battlefield bad company 2 online and found it alright but got bored of it, where as I still play Mw2. It's not all about graphics.

Us cod fanboys can say the exact same about you battlefield fanboys. No doubt, I will buy battlefield 3 when it's out, try the online, if I get bored, can trade it in for mw3 2 weeks later :y:

If you bought Medal Of Honor in the top left of the case it said you get an invite to the beta so I'm pretty sure thats one way of getting the beta

Why did I bother buying MOH if the Beta is going to be for everybody? Would they really be that cold hearted... it should be exclusive, plus some other spots for first-come-first-served purposes.
