Once again on the topic of Sony, and for those whom missed the information, the Playstation Vita has officially been revealed. Although many knew this would not be a shocking surprise, both the estimated release, and end cost was announced during the E3 conference, along with a few more vital pieces of information.

Announced by Sony themselves, as predicted, the NGP was dubbed ‘Vita’, which in turn stands for “Life”. Also noted was that upon launch, there will be two different models of the up and coming handheld device. Taking the information presented during the conference, the two Playstation Vita models will be as followed:

- The standard make of the Playstation Vita will feature Wi-Fi connectivity only.

- As an upgrade, you will be able to go to the next level and purchase the Vita with Wi-fi + 3G support.

As far as prices go for the above mentioned models, the basic version will retail for a claimed $249 USD. On the contrary, the upgraded version featuring 3G will be in stores for a slightly more expensive price of $299 USD. Again, when released, Sony wishes to compete with fellow handhelds such as that of the 3DS, therefore the believed reasoning for the pricing range.

Finally, upon wrapping up the segment at E3 surrounding the Vita, Sony official confirmed the estimated time period for their device.

With the gritty details now all sorted out, what is your opinion on the Vita? Will it succeed and raise the bar for future portable devices? Known for sure is that only time will tell, however, from the looks of things, many are anticipating the release.

I will continue to post these bits of information for those of you not fortunate enough to catch the actual reveals via streams.

the "PS VITA" logo looks awkward. I'll probably get this @ $250, if they are some good titles!

Yea sorry I did spell it wrong,
–adjective
1. lacking skill or dexterity; clumsy.
2. lacking grace or ease in movement: an awkward gesture; an awkward dancer.
3. lacking social graces or manners: a simple, awkward frontiersman.

He just corrected you over the internet wow! Blue Dream you want a cookie? and really? I'm pretty sure he used the word awkward in the right context. Most people find the word awkward similar to weird and weird and awkward are almost always used in the same context! LMFAO.... You never heard anybody say that's weird, awkward or creepy? I'm pretty sure you meant awkward as in weird.... Blue dream is just a lil' slow...
