Oh Canada! Well, at least that is what THQ is saying as of recently. Announced today was that the game publisher will close up shop at both Kaos and it’s internal UK studios. Kaos studios is most recognized for their development of the ever so famous Homefront, and with this, is said to be moving North of the boarder in relocation to Montreal, Canada.

Kaos, located within the heart of New York, is closing it’s doors for what is dubbed as “strategic realignment”. The Homefront saga will now be solely developed and maintained by the Montreal studio. Though some may be weary about the future of the franchise and what it will now offer, rest assured is acclaimed by THQ. A surefire mention to all gamers is that the Montreal developers in fact aided in collaboration of the original making of Homefront, therefore all can expect more great things within the future title(s).

Though no longer able to work at their current location, employees of both the UK Studio as well as Kaos Studios will all be offered interviews for global positions within the corporation. THQ currently possesses internal studios in Montreal , Vancouver, and Austin, Texas.

This news leads many to ponder the exact reason why THQ feels a need for a location swap, however, one could ultimately speculate on Financial pressure as a possible motivation.</div>
