In a recent interview with Mark Rubin, Executive Producer for Infinity Ward, a few details regarding the Spec Ops and Survival modes was revealed. For the ones who are new to Spec Ops, it was a feature introduced in Modern Warfare 2. It was separate from the online multiplayer and it consisted of levels basically. However, MW3 seems to be changing things up by adding a character that you level up as you play through the Spec Ops modes. In addition, your level in those modes will be available on your online multiplayer title card.
With that being said, those exploding dogs mentioned above come in during the new Survival Mode. Survival mode is similar to the widely known Nazi Zombies mode, where as you progress, the enemies you come across become stronger and change. It's an endless mode, so if you lack a life, your game will soon be released. Mark Rubin added, ""There's points where you have exploding dogs, helicopters, juggernauts, guys with gas tanks on their backs that explode and leave clouds of gas..." I'm curious as to how these dogs will look. I mean, if they look like live and healthy dogs rather than dead zombie dogs, the explosions have the potential to be pretty gruesome -- I'd image. If all that nonsense is too much for you to handle, air support will be at your service. Two of the types have been revealed. One option is to have an infantry of soldiers and another is to have a squad of guys with riot shields, protecting your every move. That's all for now so far guys, thanks for taking the time to read through.
