is there any other way? i want to portforward the server and then run it like normal with no hamachi... is there any way of him joining my server

Yes. Im assuming he has a cracked version of minecraft? So, go into server.properties and make sure online-mode is set to false. This will make it so non premiums can join the server. Also, if running windows, open up command prompt and type in ip config. Look for IPv4 address. And put that as you Server-IP on the server.properties.
Then, you need to set a port, you want to keep your port at either 25565, or 8080. So on the Server-Port in the server.properties, put either one. I use 25565. So , if you're ip is 192.168.2.41, and your port is 25565, he will put 192.168.2.41:25565 in the IP box on Multiplayer. You will either put that or you can just put 192.168.2.41
