Sega has always been one of my favorite gaming companies. Growing up I would play on my Sega for hours a day. Well in an innovation that I find comical yet revolutionary, Sega has developed a mens urinal that allows you to play games while peeing.
Upon approaching the toilet an infrared sensor detects the user and switches from the onscreen ad to a game ready screen. Once you've unzipped and flipped you simply aim the stream of urine at a target in the urinal.
The toilet has a sensor that detects the speed and duration of urination. All of the scoring in these games are based upon the speed and duration recorded while peeing. Sega is also developing games that will have a scoring system allowing you to compete against previous users scores.
The unit will officially go on sale in November of this year. The cost will be 143,000 yen, or 1,777 USD. The cost for the games that are supported by the toilet will come at a cost of 10,000 yen, or 124 USD.
So would you like to use one of these? Do you think one of these will be coming to a bar near you? Would you ever invest in one for your own home? Just think of the fun.
