For a while now, many have wondered what the much shrouded Bungie project Aerospace was. Bungie has now made the official reveal of the project and to the surprise of many it is not a game. Instead it is a program designed to connect smaller indie game studios with much needed resources.

Pete Parsons, the COO of Bungie stated:

Bungie Aerospace will allow us to explore game creation in multiple formats with some amazingly talented teams. Now that we’ve returned to our roots as an independent studio, we are in a position to launch Bungie Aerospace to support, foster, and elevate like-minded, independent developers.”

With the opportunities Bungie Aerospace can provide a small studio, ranging from access the Bungie.net platform, to full scale funding, the impact this program will have on the gaming community in general will be astounding. Not only will it help to boost the number of amazing and feature rich indie games available to the players, but it will also help boost many small studios, that are full of potential, into a place where they can further the quality of their craft.

The first game that will receive resources from the Bungie Aerospace program will be one created by Hairbrained Schemes. Hairbrained Schemes is a studio lead by Jordan Weisman, who is known for his work on the games MechWarrior and Crimson Skies. The new project is code named "Crimson", but Weisman warns fans not to expect the experience or the game to have anything to do with Crimson Skies.

A really cool idea, I wonder what type of games will we be getting from this.

Also fixed some mistakes on your article.
