Many gamers, if not most, hear "Mad Catz" and think of that crappy Xbox controller they used when they were a kid. Mad Catz has improved upon the quality of it's gaming peripherals for all systems alike. That is what makes this story a shock to many. Mad Catz has always been known for making gaming accessories. Not the games themselves.

In a turn of events, Mad Catz Interactive CEO, Darren Richardson, announced that the company has struck a licensing deal with Microsoft. It hasn't been said whether Mad Catz will be developing full on disc based games or games for download in the Xbox Live Arcade. What has been said is this:

It will be very interesting to see the quality and playability of games developed by Mad Catz. What are your expectations of the games they make? Do you find it odd that an accessory company is going into game development? Will you be biased against the games due to the lack of quality in many of their old and new gaming peripherals?

You never know, they could make some of the best games around. Every company has to start of small, and for Mad Catz I'm guessing it was the PS1, hence why they had bad accessories. I haven't bought any of their products since so I don't know how they are now. Maybe though they will make some decent games. I'm guessing they will make some indie/arcade games to start with though, to see how they are. Who knows, the could become as big as EA, Ubisoft etc.

Maybe the CD will break, who knows :carling:

Don't diss on Mad Catz, if it wasn't for them, I would of never beaten MK on the PS1. :carling:

ahhh mad catz.... i had a modded ps2 controler that (was supposed to lol) light up blue, it came apart into two peices a few days after the grips on the analog sticks came off

God you should probably do some looking before you try to tell somebody that that's the only good brand they own. Your a dumbass dude they own. Madcatz: Which you can say they make shitty products and there controllers for the PS2 and Xbox and PS2 memory cards and shit did suck but how long ago was that? 5-10 years they have stepped there game up. Now the rest of the brands they own. Saitek: Some of the best Flight Simulators in the world, Eclipse: they make some outstanding Computer items, Cyborg: rated to have the best gaming mouse in the world, Tritton: Some of the best gaming headsets in the world, and AirDrives: make some amazing active/sports earphones.

I have a Saitek analog controller and it sucks. Never heard of Eclipse. I own a Cyborg R.A.T 3 Mouse and never knew it was made by Madcatz, thanks for pointing this out. You have already talked about Trittons and I don't use sports earphones so I wouldn't know about AirDrives.
