Are you a fan of Saints Row? Or just simply anticipating the release of the up and coming third title? For those of you who are, today marked the announcement of the planned “Platinum” edition of the game. Releasing November 15th, Saints Row: The Third Platinum pack will feature the game itself, game soundtrack, Saints Row Headset, and all items in an acclaimed “Professor Genki Hyper-Ordinary” pack (this package being free to those who preorder).

As shown within the picture above, the Platinum pack tries to bring consumers as much content as possible - for as little price. Though THQ has not unveiled a price range for the product, it is estimated at a cost of around $100 USD. Also worth of mention, THQ has commented that the first 3,000 gamers to buy the game through their online store will receive the Saints Row: Season Pass. This pass allows for three downloadable mission packs, a rough value of at least $20.

Upon further research of the Professor Genki package, the following information was released by a fellow gaming website.

It comes with three items to make your day in Saints Row happier: Professor Genki's Super Ballistic Man-a-pult, which scoops up pedestrians and fires them out of a cannon; Professor Genki's "Octopuss" Cannon, which shoots baby octopi at people's heads; and the ever-stylish Professor Genki's Leisure Stunt Suit, complete with mask.

Evidently, the Platinum package looks as if it may appeal to those hardcore gamers. Regardless whether or not you choose to make the purchase, some fun looks to be had on Saints Row the Third.

I'm sure the headphones are not going to be that great I mean if you want good headphones just go out and pay for them but the game does look pretty sweet.

Why release this in the winter? I understand for AAA titles like Call of Duty, Battlefield, Need for Speed, FIFA etc however for games like this a spring/summer release would be ideal. Just seems like all year I'm waiting for a good game to buy then about 20 of them shoot out at me around November-time stare
