How to use PS3 or Xbox 360 controller in MineCraft

Text Tutorial

1. Download the following two files :

2. If you are using a Ps3 Controller plug it in and push the ps button once , now open the DS3 tool , if you are using an Xbox Controller ignore this until step 6.

3. Now go to the driver manager tab (you may have to do that 2 times) you should now see this You must login or register to view this content.,

choose that by clicking the white box and push "load drivers", if done correct you should see this , You must login or register to view this content.

4. Restart your Computer and when you log back on go to the Ds3 tool and from the drop down menu choose your Ps3 Controller.

5. now choose Xbox 360 controller emulator, this tells your Computer that the PS3 Controller is a Xbox Controller Smile .

6. Ok now open up MineControl , you must keep this open while you play minecraft :lol: .

7. Open minecraft and enjoy. (to change buttons just go to button mapping on the MineControl menu).

Ugh. I Hate DS3 It Never Worked For Me, but nice tutorial hopefully it'll help others.

I had problems with it too , but i ran it as Administrator and it worked for me Smile

Can I enable the sticks to be used to look around? I can't seem to figure it out.

Don't think so, i think its just arrows for the min . ill have a look and see if i can figure something out Happy

Go back to your ds3 tool and choose the ps3 controller then push the "enable button", now remember to keep minecontrol running and that should make the analogue buttons work Smile

Thanks. I got it working. Too bad the turning is so generic, and not free flow like with a mouse. Do I use DS3 tool, or Minecontrol to remap my buttons?

I had a really easy thread on how to do this but i think it got deleted somewhere.
For the DS3 tool set the controller to PS2 for the analogs to work i know that though
