(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Well, this is something interesting I've seen around the internet that people would do with these races, so I decided to make one of my own. Over the course of the race, I will update this thread with how the race is going along and anything interesting I feel I should add in.

Start - 3 Hours
This race is definitely harder than I expected. It's actually the most challenging race I've ever done. At the start, I luckily started with a dry course and its been that way so far. I'm using the Mazda 787B Race Car, and it's working quite well so far. I have just gotten to the 3 hour mark right before starting lap 50, so I think I'm making good time, but I'm not sure, I'll have to Google some times. Anyways, I've been pretty much spending this first part of the race trying to find the best techniques to keep me in the lead. For my tires I've found that a Racing Soft/ Racing Hard setup works quite well. I have my traction control turned up quite high along with ABS on 3 and ASM on. This keeps my car stable and stops it from sliding with the hard tires in the rear. Using this I am able to pit less because of less tire ware. I've found that pitting every six laps keeps everything running smooth because my tires and fuel are at half by that point, so if I need to, I can push a few more laps. The race so far has pretty much been a cycle of: Race, get in the lead, pit, fight for lead, pit, fight for lead, etc. I'm also starting to notice the sun getting slightly lower and a tiny little bit of lighting difference, so I think in a couple hours I'll be hitting nightfall. I hope it doesn't make it too hard, but I'm looking forward to something different, as this race is VERY repetitive.

5 Hours In
5 hours in.... Wow, I must really have no life, eh. Oh well. I've just gotten into my 84th lap after a pit stop, and I'm about 2 laps ahead of everyone. I've decided to move back to Racing Soft/ Racing Medium tire setup. The tires are able to last longer that way, and they have more grip. Now, depending on when the AI pits, I am able to get ~10 laps in. I can really tell my car's performance is dropping. The engine is starting to sound really gravely, its a sad sound. :cry: And areas where I could hit 230mph I'm now only reaching 226mph. Also, my car is getting really dirty. I can see on the sides of my car black/gray streaks. But the most noticeable thing about this portion of the race was the sunset. Right now the sun's almost completely gone, and its not quite dark yet, but all the lights are on, and it all just looks amazing. The way Polyphony made the lighting engine and everything is spectacular. Kudos to them. :y: Anyways, I'm taking a break now, and I'll try to get a few more hours in tonight.

7 Hours
7 hours... This is taking forever, and I'm not even close to halfway. This is gonna drive me insane. Anyways, now it's completely dark. In game time I believe its 11:00 PM. The best part of it being dark is the fireworks... They are amazing. A great way to distract yourself too. Though I can barely see anything in the sky because it's so dark, I can tell it's getting very cloudy. I would assume I'm going to start getting rain soon. I'm not sure as to wether it's a good thing or bad yet. Part of me wants it to rain so the race will be a bit less monotonous, but I also don't want to face the added difficulties of the wet track and even lowered visibilities. On a positive note, I'm 4 laps ahead and my best lap time is 3:09.754. I'm going to take another break, and if I feel up to it, play a couple more hours. If not, I'll continue my journey tomorrow.

9 hours, 153 Laps
This has BY FAR been the most boring part of the race. Absouletely nothing interesting is happeneing. My best lap time is up to 3:09:545, and I have a 7 lap lead. The fireworks ended at 8 hours. And a few laps ago, without paying attention, I managed to hit a wall and flip my car. I have yet to figure out how it happened. Lol. Anyways, I'm off to go race more now.

12 MOTHER ****IN HOURS
This is really getting old. 12 hours, and nothing new is happening. I can see the sky brightening up a bit though. =D Just a couple hours till daytime I believe. Other than that, nothing interesting.

15 HOURS!!
So now it's daytime. **** YEA So now, unless it starts raining, we've got a nice, easy clear shot to the end. I'm on lap 259, and my best time is 3:00:914. So now I'm gonna race more, and hopefully be done tomorrow.

17 hours!
17 hours.. Seems like I'm getting close, but still 7 hours to go. I've almost got 300 laps in (29 And my best lap time still stands. It's gotten quite cloudy, and it actually rained VERY lightly for about 5-10 minutes. I've got a feeling real rain is coming soon though..

20 Hours!!!
So..... Close..... =D Its been raining for a while now. So now im just trying to find the best tire setup. Cant quite figure it out. And my laps are now slowed to just over 3:30 but oh well. Were getting close.
