It seems as if Playstation’s online virtual realm is to receive a much needed overhaul according to Sony Computer Entertainment. This upcoming fall will invoke a new design for Playstation Home, as it will allow players new ways to connect, launch games, and buy items for their online characters. Though the pre-existing based version is acceptable, Sony hopes to raise the bar in order to appeal more to fellow gamers.

The update is confirmed to feature a new “hub” that allows for more easy navigation from one point to another. Sony also hopes of brining in a new questioning system which will add a communication factor into the Home experience. This will allow gamers to match, play, and easily talk amongst one another according to interests. Nevertheless, all areas are expected to be remodeled as well; areas from the Adventure District, to the Sports Lounge.

Finally, the improvement of the login system, processing, and utilization of the servers is in the reworks of Sony, as it will also completely be redone. What this will allow is for easier connectivity to the Home community, while reducing any troublesome issues that users may currently have while try to access.

Not impressed? Here are some Home statistics.

Will this remodeling bring gamers back to Home? Or is it a waste of time for the corporation?

When you launch Home does it still say it's in Beta?

I remember back in '06 me and my dad kept waiting for home cause it was going to be SOO awesome a virtual world where you can do ANYTHING and own houses and dress up however you want...then it FINALLY came out 2 years later and was a pretty big let down. Not like a Black Ops let down but still pretty bad.
