At a press-conference in Tokyo, Japan. Sony's have announced the new PS Vita is set to hit the Japanese stores on the 17th of December. It'll be partnering with NTT DoCoMo for the console's 3G service which is prepaid. Consumers are set to have two choices of connection. One being $13 which translates to around £8 for 20 hours. Another being $65 which translates to around £41 for 100 hours. The rest of the people outside of Japan. Will still have to wait until 2012 for this, but they said they're going to be releasing more concrete dates soon. The PlayStation Vita will have a battery life of around 3-5 hours when playing games. This is a somewhat similar battery span to what the PSP had.


Sony have also said that 26 games will hit the shelves the same day and date as the new PS Vita.

I think this handheld will fail miserably like The PSP GO

Not really hyped about this, and im not gonna buy this mainly because sony always end up making a updated version of it later on.

pspgo is just a psp with a better screen and harder to hold = FAIL
PsVita in the other hand is a portable system that is nearly equal to that of xbox or ps3 its both a better model and lower model of a ps3 (better in RAM lower in graphic but the graphic rocks really)
'bout me i will buy this version and not wait for an updated version cause as you ALL know by now that nearly all of sony first model game console is hackable

PsVita is way better than 3DS.

Better than 3DS, that thing just gives you headache but still pointless unless you prefare handheld

Their is no set date as of yet. Its sometime next year.
