(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I don't know. I also don't know who was best at resupplying teammates, or laying down suppressing fire. I don't know who assisted the team by spotting the most enemies. I can't tell you who took those objectives, or who defended the objectives. These things are not tracked by the scoreboard. They don't show up in the Battle Reports.

Currently, the scoreboard lists Kills, Death, and Score. Your stats at the end of a round are mostly combat-centric: Kills, Deaths, K/D ratio, Kill assists. You can see your weapon accuracy, longest headshot, and kill streak bonus. You have best vehicle and vehicles destroyed. You can check your score-per-minute that, while not limited only to combat, is another self-serving stat. They're ALL self-serving stats.

In the Battle Report, you can see who was the top player in each class based on score, but that doesn't tell you much. It isn't granular, it doesn't tell you what they did to achieve that score. There's "Highest Awarded," another score-based award, and the combat awards "Killing Machine" and "Aim King."

Battlefield 3 is a team-based game, yet there are no team-based stats here. Outside of "doing it for the good of the team," there is no incentive to being a team player. You get ribbons and medals, but nobody can see that at the end of the round. Players dropping medkits and ammo boxes have nothing to be proud about at the end of the round; they can't look on the stats screen and see their name under "Most healthpoints healed," or "Most ammo supplied." Players who diffuse the charges or plant successful charges do not receive recognition on the scoreboard. And I can tell you who was the most accurate player, but what about the player that didn't hit much but laid down a barrage of covering fire that pinned the enemy down, allowing his teammates to rush towards the objective? That player gets no mention, but the player who was a "Killing Machine" does.

By the very scoreboard this game promotes Rambo-ism. Lone soldiers rushing ahead trying to get the most kills. Top of the charts, baby! Who cares about dropping ammo and health, look at my K/D ratio! Objectives? Lol what? I shot the most people, who cares about that other stuff?

DiCE, if this is really a team-based shooter as you claim, the scoreboard needs to be updated. The in-game scoreboard, the end-of-round scoreboard, and Battlelog need to display additional, granular statistics about players' supportive actions during a round. Encourage players to WANT to help out, if only so that they can smile when they see their name on the charts next to "Best ____."

You must login or register to view this content.i think the game needs this it will be good at whos doing the best at what, it could help finding those good players to squad up with etc.

Who cares about the scoreboard? All that matters is that you know if you're doing those things.

Although I kinda do agree we should be able to see, its not vital.

Just yesterday I was playing as assault class and I was first place even though I had as many kills as the guy in second, i was 2000 points above him. Heals and revives. I don't care if other people can't see that I'm doing that.

It would take up too much space anyway lol.

Ya I agree it would be nice to see all that on screen but there isn't enough room for it. Maybe stats like that can be tracked on Battelog? I'm not quite sure since I cant access it.
