EA have confirmed from today they will be releasing the Multiplayer maps information 4 at a time, meaning all the map details will be released tomorrow (14th October). Here's the maps they have released today.



This is the one of the largest maps to date that has been featured in Battlefield. It is taking the gameplay to the extreme, size-wise and puzzle wise. If you played BF2 you would be familiar to the map 'Atacama Deserts '... Well you can fit 3 of that map into this one map. This is a wide open desert map, with burning oil fields in the distance, contrasted by a clear blue sky in the other direction. There are also a couple of construction sites dotted around, which you can enter giving infantry a key place to spot vehicles and enemies from.







If you had the beta for Battlefield 3, you will of already played this map and explored most of it. It perfectly encourages you to explore the grounds of the city of romance, Paris. It has a luxury park, were you generally spawn for the game mode 'Rush'. The park itself is a a big open area with a few cover spots, after you have been pushed back you then find yourself in a bombed out section of the subway, were it changes the game from long range shooting to close quarters, making you constantly adapt your class.








On this map you start up in the hills, were the world famous 'Tehran Nightlife' picture was shot from, you're first situated on the outskirts of the city, were you can see rockets lighting up the night sky, there are vehicles to use, but they are quite sparse across the map, making it hard for you to get to them. Once again it starts out long range, and ends up in close combat. Which makes the game more realistic, just like a real shoot out would do.






The name of this map was only decided upon yesterday, it was originally called 'Base Jump', it is built with the idea of the players being able to 'Base Jump' of the high up spots, once again you start long range and end up close quarters. The only way to the close quarter shootout is to jump a 500 Meter drop from your spawn. The vehicles in this map will only appear are you get further into the map, so there is none at the spawn. The only way to get to them is to dive the 500 Meter drop. This is one of the most environmentally detailed map, so keep your eyes out for some spectacular sites.
