So as far as this thread goes, post what you personally find irritating about the server, and explain what you would like added/taken away, etc.
My Suggestions
- Another Admin.
- Ditch the VIP world.
- Flint and Steel Permissions for Premiums.
- Clean up the Spawn.
My Point in case:

I wouldn't go that far to say we make 2k extra a month.. We haven't even hit half the donation goal for this month and it's almost over. But you're right, if it had more active admins on and was cleaned up and ran more efficient it would bring in more players, resulting in more donations.
Well we used to receive that much at least... But hell, if it got cleaned up, things were active and up to date all that, people would donate left and right. Another thing to add to your point btw:

My only problems with the server:
Lag. Its ****ing crazily annoying when I can't play for more than 5 minutes without stuttering, removing blocks lagging, and placed blocks disappearing.
Griefers. I left because everything I built was griefed, and the new worlds resulted in all my old works being destroyed.
Loss of VIP. I reported that my VIP was missing, and my name was VIP color, but no commands worked ;p.
More Active Admins/Moderators. Anyone who was there back on the first world could fill this spot. They obviously don't grief if they are still here.
More Active Players. Everytime I get on, I see 5 people online [including myself] and 4 people AFK. Could just be my shitty luck, but who knows?
Fix the Grief Logs. Unless it uses IP Addresses, anyone could use a cracked username [people crack these accounts like crazy] and get them banned. I'm afraid of it happening to me.
Did I mention Lag? Lag is the biggest issue. Fix this, and all is well.
Keep utilizing the original server. When there were no NPCs. Sure, NPC's are fun and all, but I prefer building my home, my cross-continental rail-road, and such with friends more than I do slaying skeletons by myself all night. Spawning the items to build is what is missing. I know [or last I was on], there was the creative server and the survival server. My character is stuck in the survival server. I don't want that o.o.

I was stating my problems with it when I last played, which, other than today and yesterday, was weeks ago.
Lag isn't so bad anymore.
VIP is back.
Griefing seems miniscule.

It seems like most people are mods/admins.
There are about six people on, generally. Sadly, everyone plays survival ;p.
You clarified grief logs.
Make the commands strictly on the creative world. Its not that hard ;p.
A command that lists commands/mod changes would still be helpful. New players [of minecraft in general] won't know what lockette is or what it does. At least have a section on the main thread detailing everything.
I think a way to place water would be nice. I know its a griefing tool, but I really like utilizing water's beauty. I have fountains that need water, and am thinking of encasing my house in it.
Have OB on when you join if it was on when you left. I always forget to re-activate it, so most of my house is destroyable by anyone.

The server needs to be more noob friendly, i.e there needs to be a way to get the basic commands out there for the newcomers since they won't all be from NGU and have a clue what to do.
When you first spawn in the world there needs to be something that will grab and attract the user, so an appropriate spawn & some sort of spectacular building would be much better than the current wooden box :p First impressions go along way.
One thing is for sure, alot of server modifications are really needed, just look at all the suggestions.
