Assassins Creed - Movie Coming Soon

You may have heard some time ago that Ubisoft were planning on making one of their biggest hits, Assassins creed, into a full length movie. They opened their own Movie studio (You must login or register to view this content.) which bought us the Prince of Persia film which was honestly a disappointment.

On the list of films to be made were Assassins creed and Ghost recon. Sony Pictures and Ubisoft recently neared a deal for Sony to bring the Game to the movies.
Now of you want real evidence, Sony has also registered 16 domains related to Assassins creed:

  • assassins-creed-movie.com

  • assassins-creed.net

  • assassins-creedmovie.com

  • assassinscreed-film.com

  • assassinscreed-film.net

  • assassinscreed-movie.com

  • assassinscreed-movie.net

  • assassinscreed-thefilm.com

  • assassinscreed-thefilm.net

  • assassinscreed-themovie.com

  • assassinscreed-themovie.net

  • assassinscreedfilm.com

  • assassinscreedfilm.net

  • assassinscreedthefilm.com

  • assassinscreedthefilm.net

  • assassinscreedthemovie.net

These were registered by Sony a couple of days ago and basically unofficially announces that there will be an assassins creed movie hitting the big screens soon. There is also rumor that Sony is looking into producing movies based on Uncharted and InFamous.

So now that it is basically confirmed that we will see Assassins creed the movie hitting the cinemas soon, I know im very eager for this and it will be good to see the whole story come together in a movie.
My only concern is the story is huge and has taken over 4 games to tell us it, will it be rushed in a 2hour film? Will they keep the storyline from the games or will it be a brand new story?

This wouldnt be the first Assassins creed movie developed as there was the short lineage movie which was made in 2009. For anyone who didn't see it here it is:

If what I've read is even somewhat true, It's not gonna happen. It's seeming like this movie isn't gonna happen, because sony is giving ubisoft too much power over the movie. They can end it for any little reason.

That would be awesome, I think the Halo series has one of the best video game storylines.
