Hey guys, I was shown this by another member of staff, and I thought it was very interesting, so I am now posting this article, I can't put the article in my own words, only because I think it would be easier for you to read the article itself, which I will write below. The following is not my words, it is from the source, I think it is much easier to read out of the quote BB, so I'm putting it in speech marks, thanks.

"When I got my brand new Official PlayStation Magazine through the door, I had a quick browse through, read the review of the as expected awesome Uncharted 3, and then read the little Editor’s note at the beginning. There’s the usual of what’s in the issue, why Uncharted 3 is so good, but then there is this little gem at the end:

I promise you that next month is an equally significant issue in our history (referring to Uncharted 3 of this month’s issue). I desperately want to say more, but really mustn’t. Other than this: turn to p.81 for a stealthy hint and be very, very excited.

"They could be referring to a number of things:

  1. Metal Gear Solid: The exclamation mark immediately struck me as a new entry in the Metal Gear Solid series. With the new Fox Engine being shown off, this could be the perfect time for a new game to be announced. But why is it green? You could argue the smoke and the stealth of it indicates this, and I could not say it isn’t going to be another MGS. The use of the word ‘stealthy’ backs this up even further.
  2. You could also place some bets on Modern Warfare 3. Mainly due to the three dots at the bottom, but Call of Duty is in love with smoky backgrounds. I wouldn’t say this is likely, it is a PlayStation magazine after all!
  3. The big one: GTA5. With the green coloured V and the fact it is a huge game, this could well be it. Have Sony got some kind of exclusivity towards it? That would be absolutely massive for Sony.
So what do you think? Let us know in the comment section below."

Back to Mudkip's words

Ok so as you can see, this reveal or whatever it is could be 1 of 3 things, now, I did a little more research because I was intrigued to find out more, and this is what I found at a different You must login or register to view this content.. (Most of this is my own words.)

This article almost confirmed that this is the same exclamation mark from the metal gear solid franchise, the image also has the release date of the next issue, suggesting that a new Metal Gear Solid-related announcement may be on the way.

The article also noted this:

"Keep in mind that this is a UK-based magazine, and this may simply be the recently-revealed European release date for the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. Still, we haven't heard anything about Metal Gear Solid: Rising since E3 2010, so more news is certainly overdue. :

So it is not definitely metal gear solid, although, news for it is overdue, therefore increasing the likelihood that it is.

Personal Opinion

I haven't played metal gear solid much before, but I will definitely buy a copy of this new game (if this is the metal gear solid release), because it is obviously going to get a lot of attention, I will hopefully give an update next month when the next magazine is issued.

Thanks for reading guys,

Seems to me like something to do with Metal Gear Solid. Might not be a game, might be. We will just have to wait until next month's issue; thanks for the news Mudkip.

theres a number of things it could be, with the trailer coming for grand theft auto V next month could possibly be it, or it could be medal gear solid i mean with the trailer floating around, but it isn't set to be released until fall 2012, it could even be Modern warfare 3, is activision, and IW hiding something big from us. well only time will tell.
