Can you compare the M98B and M40A5 for me?

Engineer. Already have the 1st service star.

m40a5 great for medium to long range is a.308 M98B super great at long range and great to play in harcore .338 but for the streets or urban environments use MK11 and sks basically this game wasn't made for sniper unlike BC2

I'm new comer to BF series only. I play competitive clan wars since Quake and most guns i use are the one with aren't ban from competitive playlists, so lets say in MW2 all of my classes have assault rifle (excluding famas which is banned). All i'm trying to say i use assaults riffles so much that i went for sniper in BF3, which is my hobby 'after clan wars'. After few more days after my last post, where i indicated recon class, i can honestly say i have engineer class as a most played in battlelog, recon is next, but now i will go with recon again to unlock some better snipers than SV98.
