Personally, I've been using the SV98 with 12x until I unlock the M40A5, but i did just get the SKS. Is it any good? My favorite spot to snipe from would probably be the crane on Operation Firestorm or shooting down after the first objectives are taken on Tehran Highway. Please share what you use and where you use it.

A sniper never reveals his sniping spots

The sks is NOT good for long range. Medium to shot range I get 2-4 hit body kills and 1 shot head kills at short range. If you want to get long range stick with the SV98 or the M40A5. Or when you really feeling good use the M98B. Shoots a 338 magnum round the bullet drop is not much. The M98B is a 2 shot body kill at 200m and up and 1 shot head kill at any.

Love the sniping. Although, I need a slower paced map. Playing on BF3 makes me feel like im in CoD. All these people running out into the middle of the map, me taking a shot, and getting a hit marker. I want to feel like a sniper and line my shot up carefully, not "quick scope" them... Also, they need to remove kill cams on snipers. The ENTIRE point of being a sniper is to stay concealed. If not concealed, you are an infantry trooper with a semi-automatic gun.
