Since the release of Modern Warfare 3 analysts prediction of it being the biggest entertainment launch of all time have come true as it smashes the 5 day launch record.
The previous record set by Call of duty black ops reached a staggering $650 million in the first 5 days of launch.
Modern Warfare 3 has beat this to raise a huge $775 million in 5 days, this accumulates to around 12.6 million units being sold.
This comes as little or no surprise that it has now overtaken as the biggest entertainment launch of all time and Call of duty has set the record 3 years in a row starting from Modern Warfare 2's $550 million 5 day total.
With Christmas coming up soon it will not be long until Modern warfare 3 hits the $1 billion mark and will likely overtake Black ops, which took 6 weeks to achieve.
Along with smashing this record, Modern Warfare 3 has also broke xbox live records with 7 million hours being played 3.3 million Gamers online on release day. These beat black ops totals by around a Million each.
Another figure that Activision should be proud of is the accumulative totals from the whole Call Of duty series which is an impressive $6 Billion+ . This makes it one of the biggest and most valuable entertainment properties in the world.
With these new records no doubt Activision have a next call of duty planned and to see it beat these high totals will be incredibly impressive... But not impossible.

with all of this money they still cant get dedicated servers really
