Black Friday deals lured keen bargain hunters to stores with huge price cuts and for that reason it would seem as though grabbing a cheap Xbox console was on the mind of most of them. These low prices helped sell more than 960,000 consoles last week in the U.S alone (800,000 of which were purchased within a 24-hour period). Also, according to Microsoft, 750,000 Kinect Sensors were snapped up last week.

"We have seen tremendous excitement from customers for our hot holiday gaming offers." Said Best Buy's Chris Homeister.

I am shocked at the actual amount of consoles that were actually purchased. All I know is that Microsoft will be celebrating, I know I would be if I were in their shoes. What will next year hold for the Xbox and it's sale figures? Only time can tell.

Nice, I'm assuming most of these are Christmas presents given how many Kinects were sold.

If I were in the U.S, I'd have bought them and ebay auctioned around Christmas and hope to pick up a nice profit :p
