My longest HS is 855 on Kharg Island. From the hills to the other side if the island. M98B, 12x Ballistic Scope, Laser, and a Bipod that a couldn't use due to the unlevel ground.

You've gotta give it to them, it was a good shot, to get the height right for the bullet drop, fair play.

IMO, not legit.

There is a lot of luck involved in hitting a shot that far. A 1080p monitor probably doesn't have enough pixels to even line up the shot perfectly. I speak based on my experience(got a legit 1274m HS), and even when i was pretty sure i lined my shot exactly the same, it doesn't hit the same spot. But I, or AFAIK anyone else, hasn't tested this theory. So YMMV
