Word has come out from Sony itself that PlayStation 4 will not be shown at E3 2012. Speaking at a "roundtable with reporters" at CES, Sony's Kaz Hirai answered a question about the PlayStation 4 showing up at this year's E3.

It isn't needed. Sure it would be nice to get a new one, but whats the point when its not going to be a huge difference, just a different interface and case.
They should wait until there is some new hardware out that is a huge improvement over the standard used in the PS3, that it will make a noticeable difference.

I'm actually relieved lol, I don't want a new console yet. I'm happy with the PS3, but they can improve the XMB though... :whistle:

Yeah I was skeptical that they would release one or even announce a new console. There's no need for it

They`ll probably wait till xbox announce the 720 and get to work stealing their ideas. :carling:

Thanks to this article the rumors are finally shot down. They need to fix some things on the XMB and add the function of being able to play PS2 games again back on the slim.

PS3 will be able to run all future CoD games.
(Because CoD games all suck kay

Figured. I had a feeling they wouldn't release or do anything on the PS4 this year. Just have to wait till next year :fa:
