The lack of a .50 cal pissed me off, I would understand and agree with them setting the bar super high to get it but w.e.. Furthermore I hate the whole scope sway(it's not difficult it's just ****ing annoying), I thought this game was supposed to be somewhat based on real life. Well soldiers who specialize in recon/sniper in are trained how to slow their heart rate and control their breathing, thus reducing scope sway.
But once again w.e.
I've been using the SV-98 because it's the only rifle which I have unlocked the bi-pod
Well in real life, the scope does sway a lot, even when doing a controlled breath
and using a bi-pod. You would need the gun to be locked in a sighting mount to keep it absolutely still. They did a good job making the rifles even across the field.
I think they excluded the .50 cal rifles because they're in every game on the market at this point. There really is no need for a .50 cal if you're a decent enough sniper. The M98B has a large enough round anyways, and can travel further than a .50 cal. However, I don't like how it doesn't drop a person with one well placed round. But, it's usually never one hit kill in real life unless you hit them in the T-Box (head) or the heart. So the dev's did a pretty good job of making the recon class weapons realistic.
My favorite is the M40A5, hands down. With straight pull bolt, you can dominate a map and you can reach just about anywhere with it.
The L96 is good but they need to fix the straight pull bolt bug on it. It doesn't let you stay scoped and chamber a round.
The M98B is an excellent rifle, just too big and bulky for me. It's like carrying around a giant 2x4.
All the semi auto rifles are good for their purpose, but too jumpy for me. I like high precision.
