Yes, that is correct! DICE, EA, and Virgin Gaming are teaming up this year to bring fans one of the
biggest gaming/console tournaments this generation may ever see.

Known under the moniker as Battlefield 3 Worldwide Conquest, the tournament is offering players the
chance to compete with their squads for $1.6 Million in cash and prizes. The only downside...this
tournament is only available for PS3 and Xbox 360 players. Sorry PC gamers, but Virgin Gaming thinks
that there are greater opportunities for cheaters to take advantage of the game on PC. A Virgin Gaming
rep was quoted saying,

"Our technology is only set up to integrate with console games at this phase in our life.
We're still new and trying to create a unique service that resolves a lot of the challenges
in the competitive gaming space today."

The only catch for the tournament is that you have to be 18 years or older in order to play, and also be
a member of Virgin Gaming member. If you're not a member, registration is easy and simple.
Just follow You must login or register to view this content. to Virgin Gaming's website where you can register either for Xbox or Playstation.
Currently, there is no exact time for the tournament, but more information will most likely be
released as the tournament draws near.
Good luck to all those who register and maybe I'll see you on the Battlefield Smile

Thanks for reading!

Well from what I know this thing is going to be pretty legit. And I mean set times of playing and official rules
and quarter, semi, and finals to boot. This shiz ain't no joke... so my assumption is that they'll use a private server
in order to keep track of all the contestants.
