Here's some great news for all of you NGU Battlefield 3 fans: It's a possibility that DICE and Electronic Arts are working on a DLC (downloadable content) for the game. Although there isn't that much information regarding the news, they have announced that there is some testing going on with some impressive stuff. Of course, still being in the testing stages, the DLC's revealing/announcement is a mystery.

When asked about any DLC that they might be working on, DICE and EA commented saying:

That being said, it is confirmed that there is some DLC in the works. And due to Battlefield 3 being so popular, it's bound to be a good one.

Let's also comment on how early in February, Daniel Matros hinted that some things were under development when it comes to the popular FPS title. Putting two and two together, we're thinking that he was talking about the same thing DICE and EA have just recently announced, even though Matros, of course, couldn't be specific on what was and is going on in the studios.

What do you guys think will be the DLC?

Well the only DLC I have heard off so far is the replica of BF2142. The mothership/spaceship mode were one team has to blow up the other teams HQ/Ship.

i hope they add small maps for CQC :y:

"Impressive" to me says either new vehicles or game modes.

Unfortunately, that patch will be coming out on PC first. Consoles its going to be a little while.

It's being made on all platforms right now. Yes pc will probably get it first, but it won't be long until the consoles get it.

Yeah. Just keep in mind that it has to go through certification for each
console before its released though.

You do remember PS3 has a timed exclusive deal in which PS3 owners will get DLC 1 week earlier than both PC and Xbox. Unless that was only for Back To Karkand.

But yeah PC patches don't have to get certified like the consoles so they get the patches faster. It's hard to believe we are still waiting on the flashlight tweak that was supposed to happen last patch. I wish DICE would just take the flashlight out of the game, it's just a cheap way to get an easy kill.
