Here's some great news for all of you NGU Battlefield 3 fans: It's a possibility that DICE and Electronic Arts are working on a DLC (downloadable content) for the game. Although there isn't that much information regarding the news, they have announced that there is some testing going on with some impressive stuff. Of course, still being in the testing stages, the DLC's revealing/announcement is a mystery.

When asked about any DLC that they might be working on, DICE and EA commented saying:

That being said, it is confirmed that there is some DLC in the works. And due to Battlefield 3 being so popular, it's bound to be a good one.

Let's also comment on how early in February, Daniel Matros hinted that some things were under development when it comes to the popular FPS title. Putting two and two together, we're thinking that he was talking about the same thing DICE and EA have just recently announced, even though Matros, of course, couldn't be specific on what was and is going on in the studios.

What do you guys think will be the DLC?

If it says impressive stuff, I think it might be a working version of the game!
I think EA should be sorting more technical problems or responding to peoples questions. They have grown a terible reputation recently due to ignorance/incompetence and greed and I can guarantee if it weren't for Dice many of us wouldn't touch this game. There comes a time when we need to tell EA - ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

I don't like troll derping my own guys, and sorry to all, but no-one seems to understand - if EA don't hear us telling them how it is (churning games out before ready, bad servers, worse updates, worst tech support, £12 DLC containing half the game on top of a £50 game WTF?, and all the unbalanced stuff that EASY to fix if they had bothered playing the game for 10 minutes.

Someone else should take over where EA has left this abomination of a carcass.

Why do EA always get away with this? We let them.
Same as the XBOX itself. It's designed to fail SO you repair it. You know how much money they would have made if we hadn't squeezed the 3year warranty out of them?

We've known there's a DLC coming for ages. This is old news.

I'd call it more of an 'update' on the matter. Winky Winky

I read somewhere that the DLC is going to involve maps based in the U.S. (New York, etc). And DICE said themselves that they aren't in the business of releasing only map packs like other companies, but rather expansions (like Back To Karkand). Meaning that it will be new maps, vehicles and weapons for the standard price of $14.99. People are saying that it may be announced during GDC.
