As most of you know, the long awaited release for Sony's newest device, the PS Vita hit the market on February 26th. Across the globe, this device has been let out into the hands of technology-craving, Sony customers. Enough so to sell over a whopping 1.2 million units selling at $249 a piece. Now you tell me. Do you think Sony made profit?

Selling majorly in the U.S.A., Japan, profits were incredible. Sony had left numerous quotes regarding the tremendous sales of the PS Vita, as some of which are listed below. The first quote regards Sony's intentions on working with other companies to keep sales up and make new games. And the second quote is just a general quote about the PS Vita.

With the above quote, we can hope that Sony will be getting exclusive games for the PS Vita in which won't be available on any other console.

In reality, however, as you can see in the above chart, the PS Vita is still facing competition seeing as that other portables have sold more than the PS Vita in their first week. Nonetheless, 1.2 million units sold is not a bad thing.

What do you think of the PS Vita so far?

Although it looks really nice I've kind of dropped out of the whole handheld gaming system phase. I bought the PSP when it first came out for $250 and played maybe 3 games on it and about a year later I was tired of it and never really played it again. Where now I can go and buy a console for the same price and get much more out of it.

All I'm saying is, no handheld gaming system is worth $250 in my eyes. :\

Same. For $50 more, you can get a PS3. Price drop definitely needs to happen.
