The official statement from Microsoft was this: ""For us, 2012 is all about Xbox 360-and it's the best year ever for Xbox 360, while we appreciate all the interest in our long-range plans for the future, we can confirm that there will be no talk of new Xbox hardware at E3 or anytime soon." It's a bit disappointing, especially seeing as how Code name "Durango" which is rumored to be the next Xbox is starting to pop up on the radar, but oh well. Maybe next year.

Never heard rumours about a new Xbox being announced.
I did hear the PS3 was already being manufactured and is gonna be announced at E3 and tbh I'd much prefer a new PS.

This is my perception ,
I don't want to see new consoles(from MS/SONY) based on how much support they have for the current consoles . A new consoles means starting all over , im assuming a new online ( SEN/XBL is revamped and we all start fresh). I enjoy the way PS3 is at the moment as well as xbox , to me a new console ,would be just me having to throw 300$+ to something that probably wont have much ground . If any remember there weren't much games when the ps3 came out , same with xbox. Will i be sad/disappointed? No , ill be pretty pumped to see what they thrown in . However , i am fine the way things are .
