Ok, so I'm a 360 BF3 player and decided to do some searching on the patch that came out yesterday for PS3. I found an article called "A List of Unannounced PS3 Battlefield 3 Patch Notes" so I decided to read it and found something interesting under Match and Map tweaks:

So if you've ever went to server browser and messed with the settings, you would notice that there are hundreds and hundreds of free DICE servers running different game modes and all, and many of those servers are all empty. 0/24 people for a lot of them. I've entered one before and had the message "Waiting for 7 more players" or something like that.
So with this new patch, it states that there is NO minimum player limit. You can be in a server of 1,2,3 whatever and still move around, shoot at each other, fly vehicles, etc. and the score wouldn't count until the minimum amount of players was reached. So... wouldn't that be exactly like a private match? So for all the new people in BF3 or people who might want a small group to get in a server and practice flying jets or have shooting practice, this could be a way to do that now, right? You could just find a server way in the back on the list with 0 people and then get into a map with jets and get a small amount of people to join and it could be a great way to practice.
