First is InvTweaks - do you have a messy inventory and do you hate it? do you have OCD like me? yea this is the mod for you! it organizes your inventory in rows columns or even a Z pattern. The best part is if you break a tool and have a replacement it automatically does it for you!

Second is Better Enchanting - Ever wanted to choose your enchantments? you just farmed for 3 hours got to lvl 50 and got a shit enchantment? frustrating is it! Third is Whats My Light Level - What this mod does is helps you with so many things. It tells you the level of light where your standing 1-15. It tells you what mobs can spawn where you are such as animals, mobs, slimes, mushrooms and so much more!! Get it here You must login or register to view this content.

These mods make my game so much better and enjoyable cant play without them

y u no post OptiFine it increases your FPS and has a lot more features than MCPatcher

Optifine is good if you dont have any other mods installed, I have a few mods and Optifine doesnt work with them ...
My mods are - Single player commands - Shelfs, Timber. and a few more..

thats the disadvantage of OptiFine but it helps you really if you have a slow computer ^^

Install ModLoader, then Forge, THEN OptiFine. Never OptiFine first. Always ModLoader. Then your mods SHOULD work.

go to options on mcpatcher and you can choose how much system memory is going to mincraft i have a gb going to it
