Ubisoft has come under fire today in the form of legal action pursued by John Beiswenger.

Beiswenger, writer of the novel
Link, claims Ubisoft had "directly copied" his book's story, which consists of a system that is able to read ancestral memories, which
Assassin's Creed also contains. However, this is where the lawsuit makes no sense - he is basing all the legal action on that single point. That is not directly copying, as
Assassin's Creed features over a hundred other features which make it completely unique from Beiswenger's novel.
I do not believe that Beiswenger will win this lawsuit, not only because he is up against such a large company but also because his case holds virtually no ground. The case is still ongoing, and we'll keep you all updated on it.
