(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});DICE video game designer Gustav Halling has announced on his You must login or register to view this content.account that the M26 MASS bug that appeared after the 'rent-a-server update' will be patched in the next client update. He didn't offer an estimated time of arrival (ETA), but it is likely that this fix will be included in the patch that will support the Close Quarters DLC pack in June.
The glitch turns the M26 from an average under-barrel choice, to a weapon of mass destruction. When equipped as an underslung on a rifle with a heavy barrel, each pellet deals full damage of the main rifle. At close quarters, a M26 user with this glitch can deal 403% damage with just one press of the trigger. It also means damage over range is much too high.
I'm glad DICE has acknowledged this, but it could be some time before we see an update. This glitch is starting to get exploited by more and more people. I am a user of it myself, however, I feel that it needs to be put to rest. Let me know what you think about this fix. Are you pleased, or more disappointed that it is being patched?

For the first time ever I raged on BF3 because of this gun.... people are shooting me across the map with this gun no joke -___-
I just hope the update comes soon because more and more people on the PS3 are exploiting this. Gonna play on the PC version for awhile hopefully the situation is not as bad.
I love battlefield when I have a good game, and I'm glad they are making sure all guns actualy are kept fair and all are balanced along a certain line. Better job than that happened on MW3 with guns such as MP7 and the FMG9's.

I thought it was the M26 DART that was overpowered, not the MASS..
