Being started on May 6th, 2003, the game is still up, running, and successful. Because of this anniversary for the title, a "birthday" gift is being deployed for all of the players who still have an account activated.

It's been almost a decade, and EVE Online still has a very large fanbase, filled with people who continue loving the titles' plots, gargantuan warfare settings, frequent updates on the MMORPG's engine, CSM chairmen, riots by the players themselves, and all the drama within the community of dedicated players.

EVE Online is an odd place however, you can be relaxed, drinking a nice cold beer while sailing your way through the distant galaxies searching for whatever lies beyond the stars, and out of the blue you'll be attacked by other players, causing mass destruction and tons of fun.

But of course, you're never safe in EVE, this is why it remains to be one of the most hardcore MMORPG's still on the market, serving as a resting place for the competitive gamers who're looking for a fight. And the players love it, the developers are on top of all bugs, glitches, hacks keeping it a legitimate place to play. If you're not competitive and you want to play EVE, best of luck to you, it's a gnarly place to be for an online videogame.

Now onto the birthday gift, every year on EVE's birthday, a gift is given to the players, a thanks to the ones still adoring it's mysterious and evil wonders. Each player can access their Account Management page and are given the choice of the eight different packages in the list below:

• Fire All Lasers - Omen and Maller (Cruisers) + Medium Energy Turret and Amarr Cruisers (Skill Books)
  
• Duty Honor, State - Caracal and Moa (Cruisers) + Assault Missiles, Medium Hybrid Turret, Heavy Missiles, Caldari Cruiser (Skill Books)
  
• Deadly Elegance - Vexor and Thorax (Cruisers) + Medium Hybrid Turret and Gallente Cruisers (Skill Books)
  
• Heavy Iron - Stabber and Rupture (Cruisers) + Assault Missiles, Medium Projectile Turret, Heavy Missiles, Minmatar Cruiser (Skill Books)
  
• Plug and Play - Full set of +2 Attribute Implants (Limited Ocular Filter Beta, Limited Neural Boost Beta…etc…)
  
• Refine Your Skills - Memory Augmentation Standard and Cybernetic Subprocessor Standard (Implants) + Scrapmetal, Ice and all other ore Processing (Skillbooks)
  
• Drill Bits - 10x each ore mining crystal I’s
  
• A Paxist Treasure - Pax Ammaria – Collector’s Item

To all of the players who don't choose any of the boost packages above, the system will automatically pick one for them, leaving the individual with randomized results. However, these packages will expire on June 4th, meaning there's plenty of time to decide.
