Nintendo of Japan updated their site saying that the Aqua Blue 3DS will be discontinued, there was no specific reason for the production halt, other than some speculation that the color is not very popular, especially in the wake of the new Cobalt Blue colour.
Even though we don’t have Cobalt blue 3DS here in the states, who knows why Nintendo of Japan would remove the color. Until then, for those on the fence about buying an Aqua blue 3DS, now is a good time to buy one before they’re all gone
