I don't really care about the 'hardware' point of view, as long as 720 and PS4 are close enough to one another, but I will buy whichever one has the better entertainment value and online setup, and Xbox doesn't fail to provide both of these much better than Playstation. I think PS3 as a console is better than Xbox 360s, but XBL is better than PSN and nowadays we want everything online so why not take the one with a better online setup? PSN might have decent content in USA but in places like Ireland there is nothing available except, basically, the online function for games whereas on Xbox Ireland has entertainment content just like every other area. They recently said that Xbox users spend more time watching videos and using Xbox's online for other functions than they do playing games online, so consoles should be more than just games in the future.

Pr0n ftw
I started using sony's devices from ps1, would never stop, those lovely games that they had in the past, including GTA: SA, Jak and Dexter, Ratchet and Clank, Crash Bandicoot will always be remembered. In the past, microsoft was really slow compared to ps3, I mean, no blu-ray disc, xbox was guaranteed to die every few months, the rate of failure, plus you still have to pay for online gaming when the gameplay can be easily mistaken for the other console, xbox has way too many flaws and things to complain and argue about, someone who has had the same xbox for years will most likely tell you that their xbox had so much failure that they had to buy slim, while someone who has had ps3 for years can tell you that it has been working flawlessly with no problems, and maybe only thing that has changed is the noise of the fan, ps3 has always had a head start on xbox...

I think that Sony will mostly always be ahead of Microsoft in terms of technology, etc. Also, what happened to the "Xbox banned in Germany & soon to be USA"? I read an article somewhere saying that Motorolla were suing Microsoft for using a certain chip (or something) inside the Xbox without a patent.. Not sure if it's true.. But anyway, I've always bought Sony consoles, dating back to the original PS1, and PSX... I'm no fanboy, but I've always liked the fact that PSEN was and always will be free. Microsoft have forced users to pay £32 (I think) per year, for something which can easily be done for free. Forget about the community of the PS3 and Xbox for the time being. I'm not trying to cause an argument or debate or any shit like that, but PS3 has been ahead of the Xbox. Think about it, had internet browser, able to watch films, flash support, etc. And lets not forget that Microsoft are only JUST implicating a blu-ray player into the Xbox. The very first PS3 had blu-ray support, and the build quality is better (I've had both Xbox and PS3 - bought at around the same time, 4 years ago, Xbox died within a year and I used the PS3 more, and to this day, it's still running, never had any problems with it).

Tl;dr?

Sony > Microsoft.
Sony will always be ahead of Microsoft.

Sony fanboy here too.
I have an Xbox too, and I play that just as much as the PS3 if not more.
But I'll just always prefer the playstation because its the one I grew up loving.

But just so its clear, PC is better than both Winky Winky
